Digi Embedded for Android offers different ways to program the Android system in the ConnectCore 8X device. Preferred program methods are different depending on the project phase:

During development phase, to test the images obtained from Build your development images process.
Or in manufacturing, to flash final images signed with release keys after Generate release custom images:
Also use these mechanisms if Android system is not flashed in your device or the one you have is corrupt and does not boot.

During deployment phase. Your devices in the field have Android already running. You can update them with an update package obtained from Create a signed OTA package:

Locally, from the Android settings menu, see Update Android with OTA packages.
