During the early stages of product development, the easiest and fastest method of programming firmware into the device is to use the images resulting from the product build.
Digi Embedded Yocto build process generates a set of images for the different system partitions. These images can be directly transferred and programmed in the device storage media using the bootloader or Fastboot. Depending on the selected method, the images can be transferred through Ethernet, USB, SDCard, etc. The process requires direct access to the bootloader and interaction with the device.
