Although the 40G meters are ERT meters, the Digi ERT gateways will not be able to read them consistently.  The 40G ERT meters do not bubble up meter readings and require a wake-up tone, such as what is used when a Utility vehicle or other reading device is in the vicinity and wakes it up.

Digi ERT Ethernet gateways are not capable of sending a wake up tone and only listens for readings.
