Status LED blink codes

The status LED deals primarily how the device boots up successfully or not.  It has a secondary purpose of providing more information if a problem occurred and why it failed.

Status LED will typically only flash during bootup.  It will be a sequence of flashes (the number) followed by a pause, with more flashes, followed by another pause followed by a 3rd set of flashes.  These are called blink codes.  For example here are common blink codes:
---   1-1-1 bootloader passed successfully, starting bootup
---    1-5-1 device successfully in factory default mode
---  9-1-1  unknown failure.  Boot failed.
---  2-2-5   firmware corrupted – recoverable
