How to configure Cisco Umbrella Web filtering on a Digi device

Task one:  Generate a Cisco Umbrella API token
  1. Log into the Cisco Umbrella Dashboard (https://dashboard.umbrella.com).
  2. On the menu, select Admin > API Keys.
The API Keys page displays.
  1. Click U (Create).
  2. Select Legacy Network Devices.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Copy the token.


7.  Next, edit a Global Allow List and fill it with the domain’s names.Destination lists allow for the customization of filtering by creating a list of domains that are explicitly allowed.





In cases where you wish to allow access to a small subset of domains and block all other domains, please do not forget to enable "Allow-only mode," which blocks access to all destinations except those specifically allowed.



Task two: Configure web filtering
 
Log into local Web UI as a user with full Admin access rights.
  1. Access the device Web UI configuration:
  2. Click Firewall > Web filtering service.

 
  1. Click Enable web filtering to enable.
  2. For Web filtering service, select Cisco Umbrella.
  3. Paste the API token that was generated in Task one: Generate a Cisco Umbrella API token.
  4. Click Apply to save the configuration and apply the change.
