When trying to update an older ConnectPort TS 8/16 (and MEI) to the latest firmware version, an error message might be displayed such as "unable to update firmware".
In such cases, some hardware might be requiring a POST firmware update first.
1) If an older device is running POST version 1.1.3 (release_82001108_E) or older, the following error message could happen when trying to update to the latest firmware version:
For this version, please download and install 82001476_C.BIN: 82001476_C.BIN
2) If an older device is running POST version 1.1.5 (release_82004114_B1) or older, the following error message could happen when trying to update to the latest firmware version:
For this version, please download and install 82004114_C.BIN: 82004114_C.BIN
