Can the Default Group be changed on the AnywhereUSB/5 M or AnywhereUSB/14?

This article is specific to AnywhereUSB models that support the multi-host connections (MHC) feature - the AnywhereUSB/5 M and AnywhereUSB/14 as of the time of this writing.

Background:  Older AnywhereUSB firmware versions allow you to designate a certain Group Number as the 'Default Group'.  Within the AnywhereUSB Configuration Utility, this Default Group can be specified as the Group to connect to, instead of a certain Group Number.

Beginning with AnywhereUSB firmware v1.70 (rev K1), the Default Group is 'hard coded' to Group 1 and can no longer be changed, because the Default Group option is being deprecated.

Users who have been using the Default Group option should now instead specify explicit Group Numbers to connect to, within the AnywhereUSB Configuration Utility.
