About the CVE Program
The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE®) Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and operated by the MITRE Corporation, is a globally recognized standard whose mission is to identify, define, and catalog publicly disclosed cybersecurity vulnerabilities. For each vulnerability, a CVE Record is published to provide a consistent description, helping information technology and cybersecurity professionals around the world coordinate efforts to prioritize and address these issues. CVE Records are assigned and published by partner organizations worldwide, ensuring the catalog remains a reliable, centralized resource for managing cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
