How do I install and use the PKG-U product?
- Download the PKGU ( USB ) windows driver files from the Relevant Files below.
- Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary directory.
- Plug in the USB cable between the PKG-U and the computer
- When the operating system asks for the drivers, browse to the temporary directory and complete the installation.
These steps will create a "Virtual COM Port" that allows the operating system to access the Digi radio modem through the USB port. Any application that can communicate through a comm port will be able to access the radio.
Do you have drivers available for Windows CE devices?
Digi's USB RF Modems use a microchip (p/n: FT232BM) made by FTDI. The drivers available for the PKG-U are dependent upon FTDI's development for this chip. Visit FTDI's Web site for latest update on the availability of drivers for Windows CE devices.
