Configuration modes

By default, Digi Embedded Yocto configures the wireless interface in concurrent mode. This way, you can use the wireless device to create different network types simultaneously. The system exposes three interfaces that allow you to work in client infrastructure mode, access point (softAP) mode, and Wi-Fi Direct mode:

wlan0 is used in client infrastructure mode.
wlan1 is used in softAP mode.
p2p0 is used as Wi-Fi Direct interface.

Note Digi recommends you remove unused virtual interfaces on production images to improve wireless performance.
