Step 1: Requirements
To start working with the ConnectCore 6 SBC and Yocto, you need the following items:
- A JumpStart Development Kit
Verify that your kit contains the following components:

1 Power supply with universal adapters 
1 Console cable adapter 
1 Antenna cable 
1 Antenna 
- A 64-bit Linux machine for application development and system customization, with at least:
- 4 GB of RAM
- 4 CPU cores
- 100 GB of free disk space
Note For successful Digi Embedded Yocto projects, we recommend you use a Yocto Project-supported Ubuntu distribution. You can find Yocto Project-supported distributions in the Yocto Project system requirements at http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/2.2/ref-manual/ref-manual.html#intro-requirements.
- Additional components not included in the kit:
- HDMI monitor
- HDMI cable
- USB mouse
- Serial cable or USB-to-serial cable
- 2 GB FAT-formatted microSD card
