Install legacy radio firmware

The latest versions of XCTU provide only the latest firmware versions of the currently supported products and families. In the past, the current version of XCTU installed all of the existing radio firmware versions.

However, if you have a legacy product or an old firmware version that cannot be found in XCTU, you can install the legacy radio firmware package.

To install the legacy radio firmware package:

1. Select Help > Install Legacy Radio Firmware option. The Update the Radio Firmware Library dialog appears.

   

2. In the Update the Radio Firmware Library dialog, select the Install legacy firmware package option. This option should be selected by default.

   

3. Click OK to start. A dialog displays the status of the download process.

4. Click the Run in background button in the progress dialog to run the download process in the background. This allows you to keep working with XCTU while the legacy firmware is downloaded. The status bar displays the update process.

   When the process finishes, a dialog displays the list of installed firmware.
