Replace Connect ES time-lag fuses
The Connect ES product family implements an AC inlet receptacle with replaceable mains fusing. When the product is used at locations with high AC mains voltages (220 Vac and above), there is a potential for large in-rush currents, large enough to trip one or both of the mains fuses. Therefore, Digi international is upgrading the fuse type to one that better resists these in-rush current conditions.
The voltage and current ratings of both old and new fuse types are equivalent and do not jeopardize the function or operation of the Connect ES device. The fuse trip characteristics of the new fuse type are superior and have shown to resist failure during laboratory testing.
Digi International is authorizing you to change the fuse in the Connect-ES product with the fuses supplied by Digi International and in accordance with the instructions below. Changing the fuse as described will not void the warranty.
