Seeing build errors when rebuilding the Java examples provided with the Digi Connect Integration kit.

I have installed both the Java 2 SDK and Apache Ant and am attempting to build the configApp and common archives. When I attempt to build the common archive I get the following error: 

BUILD FAILED C:\Program Files\Digi Connect Customization Kit\samples\applets\common\build.xml :163: C:\Program Files\Digi Connect Customization Kit\samples\applets\common\lib not found.

In version 1.2.9.0 of the Integration/Customization kit there are two sub-directories missing from the common directory. Create the following two sub-directories and try rebuilding the common archive. 

common\lib 
common\src\resources
