arm-cortex_a8-linux-gnueabi is attached to DigiEL-5.9.
Is arm-cortex_a8-linux-gnueabihf not attached?

Is it not necessary to use an FPU?

What are you trying to achieve?
Are you using floating point arithmetics e.g. in C language with "double"?
Don't they work?
Do you think they should use hardware acceleration but you have doubts they do so?
