TS16 MEI cutting-off telnet commands after 16 characters

0 votes
We are using PortServer TS 16 MEI in a test automation environment to send CLI commands to our devices under test. We observed that the Port server cuts-off our command sequences after 16 characters sporadically, by that completely stopping our test (as no EOL was sent, the command is not executed until a manual press on 'Enter').

As we have quite some devices under test in parallel running a big number of commands, this has a big impact on our test automation, so we are currently evaluating replacing all Digi Servers by something else.

Any ideas about it?

seems the problem was caused by a serial chip used in our DUT that has a FIFO serial buffer limited to 16 Bytes.
