How does Cloning Board work, does it require software?

No it does not. Here is the link to the manual for the cloning board http://ftp1.digi.com/support/documentation/TN207.pdf.

but cloning is not working.

you have to enable_cloning in software ... and if you don't have the software ???

is non sense ... Why you need to clone if you have the software ???

If this is your code downloaded to the Rabbit board, of course you will have access to the original code. You can enable cloning and then re-compile.

Otherwise, you are correct. Cloning would have had to be enabled in the first place in order for cloning to be allowed. This prevents someone from simply copying (pirating) someone else's work.
